Tell us about the BEST HIKE you've ever taken! Photos are welcome. 📷

We love protecting families from mosquitoes and ticks in their own backyards, but it's very important to take precautions when you're out trailblazing the wilderness, too. Here are a few tips 👇

1. BUG SPRAY 🦟
Don’t leave home without it. Whether you’re camping, hiking or even just taking a walk in the park, a few sprays of this on your skin and clothing will help you enjoy your outdoor adventure without having to be on swat alert.

2. TEA TREE OIL 🌿
While tea tree oil can be healthy and healing for humans, it’s actually quite toxic to many insects. Put some on your skin before heading outside to reduce the risk of getting bit. If a mosquito manages to slip through, applying tea tree oil to the affected area will provide immediate relief.

3. SOCKS 🧦
Hiking is one of summer’s most popular activities and while it provides us with gorgeous sceneries and breathtaking views, it also increases our exposure to mosquitoes and ticks. So before you embark on your next rugged adventure, throw long socks on and tuck in the bottom of your pants to seal the entryway for any pests.

4. HAT 🧢
There’s nothing worse than getting a bug stuck in your hair, especially when it’s a mosquito with its own agenda. We’ve all been that person at least once in our lives who feels or hears a bug fly in, then proceeds to flail our bodies around until it’s out. Do yourself a favor and sport a hat to avoid a potential public catastrophe.

All Natural Products and Services

Although our traditional products are EPA registered and used worldwide, we know some customers won’t settle for anything less than 100% green. We understand and enjoy providing our customers the best possible green mosquito, tick, flea and outdoor pest control.

Although our natural solution is not as effective as our traditional solution, most residential customers with a moderate mosquito, tick, or outdoor pest problem will enjoy a 65 – 80 percent reduction. To guarantee optimum control, we treat every 2 weeks. That’s a whole lot less swatting!

Our natural solution is blended in-house using only steam distilled essential oils and a surfactant (necessary to blend oils and water). We work to improve our product every year and take great pride in our blend’s continual improvement.

How it works:

Unlike our traditional treatment, our natural solution works by both repelling and “jamming” incoming mosquitoes and pests. Mosquitoes in particular have a very keen ability to detect CO2, octenol, and other pheromones. The residual scent left after a treatment acts as both a repellent and odor mask, “jamming” the mosquitos’ ability to find their targets.

Natural Mosquito Control FAQ’s

Q. Will the smell repel me as well?

A. After we treat, there will be a moderate botanical scent for around 2-4 hours and a very slight smell present for up to 24 hours. Most of our customers are indifferent to it and many enjoy the sweet scent of green!

Q. Is your product effective on more than mosquitoes and ticks?

A. Yes! In addition to mosquitoes and ticks, our natural solution will also help repel and control fleas, chiggers, nats, flies, spiders, certain ants, and other outdoor pests.

Q. What is an essential oil?

A. An essential oil is a concentrated hydrophobic liquid comprised of volatile aroma compounds derived from plants. Ok, Ok so that was a bit dense – more simply they are natural oils taken from plants. Essential oils are commonly used in scented products, soaps, and food flavorings. As delicious as they can be, we select ours for their mosquito repelling properties.

Q. What essential oils do you use?

A. Cedar wood, Lemon Eucalyptus, and Garlic are examples of a few. Lemon Eucalyptus is the only natural topical mosquito repellent recommended by the CDC, with DEET and picardin being the others. As we have worked hard to perfect our natural outdoor pest control, we cannot disclose our complete formula. We do, however, guarantee that all oils are 100% natural.

Q. How do you apply your natural mosquito treatment?

A. We use a professional grade backpack mist blower to treat most homes. Our mist blower produces a finely atomized wet mist that forms an even perimeter of protection. Using a mist blower also allows us to reach the underside of leaves, under decks, and into dense foliage – some of mosquito’s favorite daytime resting sites.
